Michigan Consortium of Botanists

Rare Plant Database

One of the principle initiatives of the Michigan Consortium of Botanists (MiCOB) is to centralize botanical resources and consolidate research and education efforts across the state of Michigan. MiCOB has endeavored to create a resource linking vetted databases related to specific rare plants of Michigan. Students, with the guidance of faculty researchers, have compiled annotated bibliographies of listed plant species and specific links to web available sites. A list of Michigan's listed plants can be found at the Michigan Natural Features Inventory. Follow this link if you would like to view the assignment specifications for the student participants. If you have comments or would like to be involved in this initiative, please contact Anna Monfils or Tim Evans.
