Michigan Consortium of Botanists

Michigan Herbaria

Regional herbaria in Michigan have joined together to consolidate resources and facilitate digitization of their collections. This effort has resulted in The Michigan Small Herbarium Initiative. Please contact Tim Evans or Anna Monfils if you are interested in being involved.

This is a list of the herbaria located in Michigan. This directory combines data from entries in Index Herbariorum and information on a number of smaller collections. Entries for "emphasis" and “number of specimens” is mostly from Index Herbariorum unless additional info has been provided.

Please contact Richard Rabeler if you have any changes or additions to the listings. Last update: Nov. 2011.
